Thanasis Karagiannis

Thanasis Karagiannis is Chief Investment Officer and Executive Board Member at Prodea Investments, where he leads the firm’s capital deployment, asset development, and portfolio strategy across Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. Managing a team of over 20 investment professionals, he has spearheaded more than €2 billion in real estate acquisition and disposals across logistics, office, hospitality, residential, and retail assets.

His extensive background includes roles at Invel Real Estate—focusing on structured acquisition financing, NPL portfolios, and hospitality — and Deutsche Bank Asset Management (DWS), where he spent six years executing pan-European strategies. He holds degrees from the University of Athens, AUEB, and Bayes Business School.
