Nikolaos Hartsas

Nikolaos Chartsas holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) and a professional license as a road freight transport operator. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the transport and supply chain industry, he has built a career combining hands-on operational experience, entrepreneurial initiative, and management expertise.

In 2000, he founded his own transport company, starting with the purchase of his first commercial truck. During the early years of his business, he was actively involved in all aspects of its operations, gaining comprehensive knowledge of freight transport activities and the industry’s operational requirements. At the same time, he systematically invested in his professional development, completing training programmes in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources Management, and Leadership, as well as in Green Supply Chain Management.

In 2011, he also assumed responsibility for managing the transport company Chartsas Ioannis, contributing to the development and organisational strengthening of the business operations. This journey ultimately led to the merger of the two companies and the establishment of CHARTSAS TRANSPORT & SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICES S.A.

Today, as Chairman and General Manager of CHARTSAS S.A., he continues to lead the company, drawing on his extensive experience in transport and management to drive structured business growth and deliver comprehensive services across the transport and supply chain sectors.
